Reflection: The Crucible Essay and First Day of School

Part One

The topic of the Crucible Essay is about the comparison of Elizabeth and a blanket. In this piece i was trying to figure out how I could find things that were alike and dislike for each. The main idea of this piece is that Elizabeth comforted her family and that is what a blanket symbolizes. During this essay i was focusing on writing in present tense and coming up with good metaphors and similes. The topic of My First Day of School is mainly a memoir of my most embarressing moment on the first day of school when my mom took pictures. During this i was concentrating on putting in some creative brushstrokes and adding detail in my writing.

Part Two

I revised my paper about Elizabeth by adding more information about her and telling why she is important to the theme of the play. I also fixed most of the problems i had with present tense. In my other piece i had to change some of my similes and label my brushstrokes.

Part Three
I think the most important things i have learned about writing is that you have to be creative and use fun comparisons that others will know about. Good similes and metaphors are good also.
